Sequoia Adventures

Moro Rock Trail

Sequoia National Park is one of our all time favorites. The park has a little bit of everything…

General Sherman Tree

Obviously, Sequoia is most famous for its GIANT sequoia trees. The one above is actually the biggest tree on Planet Earth!!

Theres nothing more humbling than standing next to these absolute giants. Many of those trees are as old as 3000 years…which means they were standing when Jesus walked the Earth. Maybe he climbed one of them… I’ll have to ask him some day. We were sad to find that most of the trees had burn “scars,” like the one below.

What we learned, though, is that fire is part of Sequoia trees natural life cycle; they actually need it to survive.. it makes them stronger. That’s something to think about next time you’re facing one of life’s fires (Look up Daniel 3:25… it’ll fire you up).
